Mrs. Etta Stingley, 85, of R 8, Elston, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth hospital. She had suffered a broken leg in a fall Oct 19 and had been hospitalized since. Born in Montgomery County, she had lived in this county since 1912. In 1894 she was married to Oscar C. Stingley, who died in 1953. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Bess Stingley, at home and Mrs. Elton McQueen, Lafayette and a son, Clyde (Bus) Stingley of Spenard, Alaska.

“Funeral Notices” – Stingley, Mrs. Etta – Friends may call at Soller-Baker Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday. Services there at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Frederick Pudsell officiating.  Burial in New Richmond cemetery. Five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive.  – kbz
